2024 ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators

I am a mid-career Associate Professor at a Historically Black College and University. I have been teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses at Hampton University, ranging from introductory biology to Biotechnology Explorations, with a focus on microbial physiology and genomics and bioinformatics courses. I also maintain an externally funded research program at Hampton University and co-direct a high school summer bridge program. I am a single mom of a 15-year-old smart young woman and love everything about microbes.
