About me
My teaching focuses on developing students as lifelong learners and engaging them in the process of science through undergraduate research experiences. As the Principal Investigator for BIOTECH Pathways: Expanding Pathways from High School into the Biotechnology Workforce (NSF 2000193), I am strive to create paths for students through HCC into biotechnology careers or further education. My research interests include determining the impact of biotechnology outreach activities on high school students’ academic and career decisions and the impact of undergraduate research experiences on students’ scientific identities.
